We strive to showcase Ethiopia’s rich history and traditions in the most authentic way possible, from traditional furnishings and the classic Ethiopian coffee ceremony to the way we serve you. Addis in Cape bridges an ancient history and culture with contemporary African flair.

Our non-vegan meals don’t include pork, but a wide range of traditional meat options, including chicken, beef, fish, and prawns. At Addis in Cape, the vegan meals are not only an option, it’s 50% of the menu. Our Ethiopian chef and South African sous-chefs work hand in hand to serve you healthy, tasty food made from quality ingredients.
Central to the experience are rich aromas, herbs and spices, which are only as hot as you like them – we cater for all tastes. Our spices are imported straight from the best sources in Addis Ababa and are prepared with the utmost care to detail.
All our ingredients are unprocessed and receive the warmth of the Ethiopian sun before it’s exported to Cape Town. Every dish on our menu is unique to Ethiopia and we are honoured to share it with you.
